LMB thanks its funders for their financial support

Lane MicroBusiness is funded primarily through government grants and fees for services. These funds allow us to offer free of low cost services to our low-income participants.

LMB was awarded a two-year $78,000 grant from the Oregon Economic and Community Development Department in late September to provide business development services to small businesses operating in rural, distressed communities as well as minority populations in the state in late September 2007.

LMB was awarded a $100,000 Non-entitlement community development block grant (NECDBG) from the Oregon Economic and Community in late August 2007. The purpose of this grant is to provide business services in rural parts of Lane County, Harney County, Yamhill County, and Wallowa Counties. The city of Veneta is the lead sponsor for this grant.

LMB was awarded a $28,000 subgrant from Lane County government in September 2007 for a USFS woody biomass grant. LMB's responsibility is to help provide business development services to companies interested in the cellulosic ethanol business.

LMB was awarded a $50,000 grant from the Oregon Office of Vocational Rehabilitation Services in July 2007 to provide services in voc rehab clients who want to become self-employed.
