Bookkeeping and accounting are very important for any business, whether small or large. Many new small business owners fail to maintain even a cursory set of books and just operate out of their checkbook. In particular, very small business owners who fail to maintain a separate checking account for their own business may be unknowingly subsidizing their business with their own personal savings.

LMB offers both a basic and advanced bookkeeping class as well as a QuickBooks class each quarter. The classes are taught in a computer lab. The class is taught with PowerPoint slides that are available for download. The basic and advanced bookkeeping class is a hands on class in which you have to analyze business transactions and determine which accounts to debit or credit.
